The meeting took place in face-to-face and online formats. EVN’s Vice President Vo Quang Lam - Head of the EVN’s Committee for Women’s Advancement chaired the meeting at the Hanoi endpoint.

At the meeting, AFD’s representatives and the consulting company - AETS (APPLICATION EUROPÉENNE DE TECHNOLOGIES ET DE SERVICES) -presented the indicative project timeline in about 9 months with 3 main stages including: Reviewing the current gender strategy and action plan for the period 2021 - 2025; Improving gender equality in EVN's operations; Improving the capacity of female leaders and employees at EVN.

Within the framework of the project, AFD and AETS are committed to coordinating with EVN to organizestudy tours and training programs domestically and internationally to raise awareness and capacity on gender equality implementation for women employees of EVN.

Mr. Vo Quang Lam – EVN’s Vice President, Head of EVN’s Committee for Women's Advancement highly appreciated the positive contributions and support from AFD and AETS. The leader of EVN also informed more about EVN's results in gender equality performance over the years.

At the meeting, the parties agreed to keep on discussing and elaborating activities of training, coaching and fostering knowledge and skills for female employees in EVN, based on the agreed cooperation and financing agreements.

It is expected that the project will be launched in December 2023, coming into the main implementation phase in March 2024, and be completed by the end of 2024.
