EVN welcomes Dongfang Electric Corporation for discussions on November 25.

During the meeting, Mr. Sun Goujun expressed his pleasure in visiting and engaging with EVN to discuss and strengthen cooperation between the two parties in the energy sector.

Specifically, Mr. Sun reviewed the collaboration between EVN and DEC while seeking EVN’s feedback on DEC's equipment and after-sales services. The senior DEC leader also expressed a desire to explore further opportunities for cooperation in areas such as pumped-storage hydropower, gas-fired power plants, energy storage, upgrading and restoring the performance of coal-fired power plants, and other new technologies.

Chairman Dang Hoang An acknowledged DEC’s recent achievements and appreciated its proposals for collaboration with EVN.

Regarding the machinery previously supplied by DEC, the Chairman of EVN emphasized the importance of regular exchanges between DEC experts and EVN’s power plants on issues like maintenance and repairs, as well as manufacturer feedback after long-term operations. EVN’s leadership also expressed interest in DEC’s continued support in exploring solutions for reducing fuel consumption rates and auxiliary power usage at coal-fired power plants, sharing experiences in retrofitting and upgrading power plants to promote environmental protection, sustainable development, and developing renewable and alternative energy sources.

Dongfang Electric Corporation, headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, operates globally with an installed capacity exceeding 89,000 MW. In Vietnam, DEC has been involved in numerous EVN thermal and hydropower projects as the EPC contractor, consortium member, and equipment supplier.
