EVN Youth organizes many meaningful activities for children in highland areas

During the two days of July 5-6, the Youth Union of Son La Power Company (Son La PC) coordinated with the Youth Union of Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) and the Youth Union of a number of member units under Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) organizes a series of social security programs aimed at children in highland areas.

At the beginning of the program, the delegation presented the "Orange Bookcase" to the Son La Provincial Social Protection Center, with a total value of VND20 million. Along with that, the youth union members also gave 500 notebooks, 156 new comic books, 500 old comic books, and 30 potted plants to the Center.

At Lien Chung Primary - Secondary School (Yen Chau district), the working group built an "Outdoor reading area", with a total cost of about VND30 million for students. On this occasion, the union members also donated 2,000 notebooks, 244 new story books, 2,500 old story books, 60 potted plants, and 10 gifts to students in difficult circumstances, with a total value of VND38 million.

Besides, the working group also held the ceremony of inauguration and handover for the youth project of "Lighting up the countryside" in Chieng Ve village, Muong É commune, Thuan Chau district. The project includes 12 sets of solar lights stretching 2km, with a total value of about VND20 million. The project is put into use to help people more conveniently participate in traffic as well as contribute to maintaining local security and order. At the same time, the union members organized propaganda and distributed 400 leaflets on safe, economical, and effective use of electricity and fire and explosion prevention to teachers and students.

In recent years, youth union organizations under the Youth Union of Vietnam Electricity have actively organized practical and meaningful social security activities performed by electricity workers to local authorities and people and school students, contributing to spreading actions bearing a profound educational spirit of love and social responsibility to the community.
