EVN and NSMO sign coordination agreement

On 27 November 2024, in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO) signed a coordination agreement, with the target of ensuring the safe, continuous, stable, and economical operation of the power system and market, in line with legal regulations.
The signing ceremony took place offline and online.
On the EVN side, there was the Chairman of EVN's Board of Directors Dang Hoang An, EVN's President and CEO Nguyen Anh Tuan, a member of EVN’s Board of Directors Dang Huy Cuong, EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai, and leadership representatives of professional departments and member units of EVN.
On the NSMO side, there was the Chairman of NSMO 's Board of Directors Nguyen Duc Cuong, Acting NSMO's President and CEO Nguyen Duc Ninh, a member of NSMO’s Board of Directors Nguyen The Vinh, a member of NSMO’s Board of Directors Doan Thi Thanh Binh, and leadership representatives of departments and load dispatch center of NSMO.

EVN and NSMO have jointly developed the content of the coordination agreement to continue to maintain and coordinate operations more closely, making an important contribution to ensuring power supply for the country and people.
The coordination agreement between the two parties specifies the scope of coordination areas and content, rights, and obligations of the parties with the target of ensuring safe, stable, continuous, and economic operation of the power system; performing well the tasks of power supply and power market operation in the future, etc.
Some specific tasks such as Planning, dispatching, and operating the national power system and market, ensuring the national power system operates safely, stably, continuously, and economically; coordinating the operation and handling of information system failure, providing information security for the operations of EVN and NSMO; coordinating in the work of building production business and investment development plans of EVN and its member units; coordinating the work of equipping protective relay systems, interlocking circuits, special load shedding, failures recording equipment, phase angle measuring equipment, failure analysis and reporting equipment, etc.

EVN's President and CEO Nguyen Anh Tuan said that EVN and NSMO continue to mark a new step, connecting and coordinating more closely to accomplish the common task of safe and stable power supply for the country, thereby contributing to the development of the Vietnamese electricity industry.
