The scheme was announced at the Conference to implement Scheme to improve efficiency of business, production and labour productivity for the 2016-2020 period of EVN and its Corporations.
For the 2016-2020 period, EVN strives to become an enterprise with high technological applications, modern management, highly-specialized, efficient and sustainable operation and play a key role in ensuring adequate power supply for socio-economic development, national defense and security of the country.
EVN is pivotal for Vietnam power industry to obtain rapid and sustainable development , effective competitiveness and international economic integration.
The Group also aims to gradually participate, complete and develop the power market in conformity with the roadmap set out by the Government. At the same time, effective operation and constant service improvement shall be targeted to enable EVN to become one of the four leading power utilities in the ASEAN countries.

At the Conference, leaders of the Power Corporations, Generation Corporations and the National Power Transmission Corporation presented their own Scheme to improve the efficiency of production, business and labour productivity for the 2016-2020 period. The corporations analyzed the current status, set out concrete targets and recommended solutions for implementation.
EVN President and CEO Hoang Dang An directed the corporations to urgently implement the Scheme. Every Corporation needs to elaborate its targets, keep its subsidiaries and employees acknowledged and informed about such scheme. The formulation of targets and norms of production and business efficiency as well as labour productivity improvement should match the actual situation and the peculiarities of each unit.
"The efficiency is the survival of your business"- EVN President and CEO emphasizes and requests, the units, in 2016, need to strengthen corporate governance, investment management and cost optimization with focus on efficiency of production and business etc.

The results of 5-year plan (2011-2015) of EVN:
- Satisfied power demand for socio-economic development, people's lives and have standby power supplies for Northern and Central Vietnam;
- Fulfilled investment plan for power generation and power grid;
- Implemented rural energy investment 1 year ahead the 2011-2015 plan as assigned by the Prime Minister.
- Reduced power transmission and distribution losses from 10.15 % in 2010 to 8.0% in 2015;
- Increased power supply reliability, averagely reduced interruption duration from 8,077 minutes/customer in 2012 to 2,110 minutes/customer in 2015;
- Increased labour productivity for 2011-2015 at an average rate of 6.8% per year, in which the labour productivity in 2015 increased by 10% compared with that of 2014;
- Achieved profitable business, fulfilled the obligations towards the State, guaranteed employment and income for employees.
