EVNGENCO3: Supporting over VND 3.7 billion for disadvantaged students in Ho Chi Minh City

On August 21, the Ho Chi Minh City Central Agencies Bloc Party Committee (HCMCABPC) in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Education and Training Party Committee organized a conference to review 3 years of implementing the sponsoring and caring program for students of disadvantaged and orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City. After 3 years of implementation, Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3) has accompanied and supported 47/98 students with over VND 3.7 billion, helping them have better learning conditions.

At the conference, comrade Vo Van Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of HCMCABPC reported that in the past 3 years, the units have supported 98 students in difficult circumstances, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic 2 million VND/month/student with a total of more than VND 7 billion, at the same time caring, encouraging, and giving gifts on holidays, Tet, etc.

For EVNGENCO3 in particular, when the program started in 2021, every year, the Corporation has coordinated to take care of the children, actively coordinated with the Committees of the Bloc Party Committee and the Bloc Youth Union to carry out many activities to visit, encourage, and create conditions for the children in their studies, and coordinate to organize annual review sessions. In 2024, in addition to supporting the children every month, the Corporation visited and gave gifts worth VND 1 million/each to 45 children on the Lunar New Year.

At the conference, in addition to supporting each student with VND 300,000 and rewarding VND 500,000 to each student who achieved excellent results in the 2023 - 2024 school year, EVNGENCO3 also organized a delegation to directly visit, encourage, and present 5 gifts worth VND 1 million/each to 05 students with especially difficult circumstances, helping them have more conditions to buy uniforms and books for the new 2024 – 2025 school year.

In the coming time, the Corporation will continue to accompany the program to create study conditions for students. EVNGENCO3 will continue to coordinate and organize activities to visit and encourage students to help them have the motivation to achieve high study results, career guidance for the future, and a more stable life.
