Nearly 99.9% of customers in Ho Chi Minh City use non-cash electricity payments

According to information from Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC), the rate of customers using electronic, non-cash payments for electricity in Ho Chi Minh City has reached nearly 99.9%.

Many practical utilities for customers

In order to promote the implementation of solutions to develop non-cash payments according to the Government's direction, in recent times, EVNHCMC has actively coordinated with banks and payment intermediaries to deploy solutions to increase the rate of non-cash electricity payments; thereby bringing many benefits to people, businesses, and the Power sector.

Currently, the rate of customers using electronic, non-cash payments for electricity in Ho Chi Minh City has reached 99.87% of customers, corresponding to 99.7% of the bill value. EVNHCMC Deputy General Director Bui Trung Kien said that, up to now, the corporation has cooperated with 23 banks and 11 intermediary partners to collect electricity bills with nearly 72,000 collection points in the city such as bank transaction points, utility marts, post offices, supermarkets, phone stores, ATM locations...

In addition, the corporation also focuses on developing electronic payment channels such as Internet/Mobile/SMS Banking or automatic debt collection; website www.cskh.evnhcmc.vn; e-wallets (Momo, Zalo pay, ViettetPay, VNPTPay, etc.); QR Code, and so on. At the same time, EVNHCMC is cooperating with collection partners to implement incentive programs such as refunds for payments via e-wallets; and discounts for payments via ZaloPay, ViettelPay, VNPTPay, Momo, etc.
