On November 15, Lao Cai Power Company (PC Lao Cai) officially energized the project of power supply for reconstructing residential areas of Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province. This is a meaningful milestone when the project is completed right before the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Power Sector (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2024).
In September 2024, storm No. 3 (Yagi) and storm circulation caused serious damage in Lang Nu villages, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district; Kho Vang village, Coc Lau commune, and Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district, causing hundreds of households to lose their homes and infrastructure to be destroyed. The Government and the People's Committee of Lao Cai province quickly stepped in and directed relevant authorities to coordinate to urgently rebuild residential areas, in which electrifying resettlement areas is one of the top priorities.

The project of power supply for reconstructing these residential areas has a total investment cost of over VND 7.6 billion, of which the project in Lang Nu is more than VND 3 billion. Although the plan is to complete the project by the end of December 2024, with urgent requirements, Lao Cai Power Company has closely coordinated with contractors to complete the project 45 days ahead of schedule.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Du, Director of Bao Yen Power Department (under Lao Cai PC), the power supply project for Lang Nu village includes 0.97km of 35kV line, 1 suspended substation of 250kVA - 35/0.4kV, 1.55km of 0.4kV line using 95mm AlXLPE twisted cable and other important infrastructure items.

Quickly recovering grid electricity supply to areas damaged by Storm No. 3 is not only a task, but also demonstrates the social responsibility of Lao Cai Power Company's employees. This is also proof of the consensus of governments at all levels, businesses and people in efforts to recover after natural disasters.
